You can never get too excited seeing a band like The Who though!

True! I'd love to see them again.

And Roger Daltrey is still totally hot!

:O Juuuulia!!!!

:D :$
He was bloody gorgeous back in the day and he's still got something about him now! He's still well built which is great, because that man cannot keep a shirt on during a gig!

Mick Jagger was gorgeous when he was young and in black and white.

But you're on your own with Daltrey!

Just the way you likes it. ;)

Mick Jagger!!?!

At least I didn't say Pete Townshend!!

'tis true! :D

Young Roger, and my favourite 'Who' song

Young Roger, and my favourite 'Who' song

Well he doesn't look sexy there! :(

Right, I can now find no visual evidence whatsoever on this so-called world wide web of Roger's inate fanciability so I'm going home! Wave

He's still lovely though...

Sorry Julia, maybe I'm not best placed to rate his sex appeal. :( *shakes fist at absent Ian_w*

The Clash playing "London Calling & Train In Vain," on American TV in 1980. Mick Jones looking like a pimp. Brilliant!

I've seen The Who 30 or 40 times in the last 30 years. They never disappoint, but Roger's voice is fading and I'd almost rather see a solo Townshend show these days.

Just saw this on another website:

Featuring the songwriting genius of Ray Davies and the guitar virtuosity of
brother Dave, hits like ‘You Really Got Me', ‘Lola', ‘Waterloo Sunset', ‘All
Day And All Of The Night' and ‘Sunny Afternoon' not only defined British
cool in the sixties and seventies, but also cemented the band's place in
Rock ‘n' Roll mythology. ‘Picture Book' is the first ever Kinks box set,
chronicling the band's 40 year career over six chronologically-ordered CDs
and one 60-page, full colour booklet. Each disc deals with a particular
chapter in the band's history, from their 1964 breakthrough onwards, while
the booklet features a full retelling of the Kinks story penned by esteemed
rock critic Peter Doggett.

The booklet also includes a personal introduction by Ray Davies, as well as
a Kinks timeline and never before seen photos.
Beautifully packaged in a classic, lift-lid style box, ‘Picture Book'
features well over a hundred tracks - a third of which are previously
unreleased or new to CD. These include: Rare Demos, Mono Versions and
Alternate Mixes (inc. early demos recorded as The Ravens; mono single
versions of ‘Waterloo Sunset', ‘Lola' & ‘Apeman'; and previously unreleased
versions of ‘Dedicated Follower of Fashion' and ‘Dead End Street')
Archived BBC Television & Session Material (inc. a televised 1964
introduction by Brian Matthew, and session versions of ‘This Strange Effect'
and ‘Love Me Til The Sun Shines') Live Renditions (inc. live versions of
‘Slum Kids', ‘Alcohol' & ‘Low Budget')

Doesn't seem like bad value for about £42.99. A lot of record labels who put out big box sets like that charge a small fortune because they know die-hard fans will still buy it.

Currently listening to: Sex On Fire - Kings of Leon

Actually a bit disappointed by their new album now I've listened to it a few times. There aren't any flat out rock songs. The first three or four songs are great, but the rest aren't really worth listening to that much.

AC/DC: You shook me all night long. It reminds me of good times had in Northern Ontario as this was just about the only decent music you could find playing on their radios.
