Based on an episode of hit sitcom Sykes And A..., The Plank follows two accident-prone workmen about London as they attempt to purchase and transport a single plank for the flooring of a new house.

Utilising a rich array of music and sound effects to their full potential, the 51 minute film features only a few mutterings of dialogue through its entire length.
