The Loneliest Boy In The World. Zombie (Ben Miller)

He recently returned to Death In Paradise as a ghost. Now Ben Miller is back with another role from beyond the grave, playing a zombie in a comedy-horror film currently shooting in Wales.

The comedian co-stars in The Loneliest Boy In The World, British Comedy Guide can reveal, a satire on the suburban family values of the American Dream from Fisherman's Friends writer Piers Ashworth.

Susan Wokoma, who played a demon hunter in the E4 comedy-horror series Crazyhead, also has an undisclosed role, as do Hammed Animashaun (Pls Like) and Max Harwood, who plays Jamie in the upcoming cinematic adaptation of hit musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie.

Also featuring Harry Potter's Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a zombie, the film is currently shooting in Swansea, directed by Martin Owen (The Intergalactic Adventures Of Max Cloud). The Loneliest Boy In The World is scheduled for release next year.

Miller, whose character DI Richard Poole died from an ice pick to the heart in Series 3 of Death In Paradise, returned to the popular BBC One Caribbean crime drama earlier this year for the tenth anniversary series, as a phantom figment of the imagination of Camille (Sara Martins), whose current co-star is Ralf Little.

"I'm filming a zombie film in Wales" Miller told Lorraine Kelly on her daytime ITV show as he appeared remotely with a shaven head, promoting the paperback of his latest children's novel, The Day I Fell Into a Fairytale. "So that's why my hair looks so strange, because I'm a bald zombie!"

Miller is continuing to record the Timeghost podcast with his long-time double act partner Alexander Armstrong, in which the pair play pretentious cultural commentators Martin Baine-Jones and Craig Children.
