The Bank Of Dave is getting a sequel, Netflix have revealed.

Starring Count Arthur Strong's Rory Kinnear in the title role, the original film was released in January by the streamer, based on the true story of Dave Fishwick and his founding of a community bank in Burnley after discovering that local businesses were struggling to get loans from larger banks.

Now Netflix has announced that Bank Of Dave: The Sequel will follow Kinnear's Fishwick as he takes on "a new and more dangerous adversary: The Payday Lenders". It is once again directed by Chris Foggin (Fisherman's Friends) and produced by Tempo Productions and Future Artists.

The original film co-starred Joel Fry, Phoebe Dynevor, Hugh Bonneville, Paul Kaye and Jo Hartley but the supporting cast and release date for the sequel have yet to be revealed.
