Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis is set to guest host Have I Got News For You for the first time.

The broadcaster and financial journalist has been lined up to take charge of the Friday 26th April 2024 edition of the topical panel show. It will be the fourth episode in Series 67, which started on BBC One last Friday.

On hosting for the first time, Martin says: "I've been a fan of the show since it started, just after I left school, but can't pretend there isn't a tinge of terror mixed in with excitement at the thought of presenting it, especially trying to keep Paul and Ian in line. I may have to resort to threatening to destroy their credit scores."

The episode, which will air at 9pm on Friday 26th April, will feature Spanish & Welsh comedian Ignacio Lopez as one of the guests appearing alongside Ian Hislop and Paul Merton. The other guest have yet to be confirmed.

This week's episode (Friday 12th April) will be hosted by mathematician, author and presenter Professor Hannah Fry, with guests Zoe Lyons and Ed Patrick.

Meanwhile Episode 3, on Friday 19th April, will see Alexander Armstrong return to guest host for a record 41st time. The episode will also feature Jo Brand as a guest. The producers note: "As the two figures with the most guest appearances on HIGNFY, this is actually the first time Brand & Armstrong have appeared together on the same episode!"
