ITV has announced Ruby Speaking, its sitcom starring Jayde Adams, won't be returning for a second series.

Launched on ITVX in June 2023 and then shown on ITV2 in January, the six-part comedy series focused on newly-single Ruby, a fun and irreverent member of the customer service team at the Bristol call centre of Hellocom.

The comedy, written by Abigail Wilson, also starred Katherine Kelly, Sam Swainsbury, Joe Sims, Jamal Franklin, Nicky Goldie, Amy-Leigh Hickman, Dan Hiscox, Kiera Lester, Andrew Francis and Rebecca Lock.

A spokesperson for ITV told TV Zone: "Ruby Speaking sadly won't be returning for a second series, we'd like to thank the cast and crew for all their hard work in bringing [Ruby Speaking] to our screens."

Ruby Speaking is still available to watch on ITVX
