The winners of the Broadcast Digital Awards 2025 - the prizes for TV programmes on non-terrestrial channels - were announced last night.

The Best Comedy Programme title went to Smoggie Queens.

The sitcom, written by and starring Phil Dunning, launched on BBC Three in November. Also featuring Mark Benton, Alexandra Mardell, Elijah Young and Patsy Lowe, the comedy tells the story of volatile Dickie along with drag queen Mam, self-styled hun Lucinda, awkward Sal and newcomer Stewart as they navigate love, life and their pride for a town that feels neglected in its own little corner of the UK.

It was announced in March that the programme would return for a second series.

The other nominees in the category were Brassic, Daddy Issues, Dinosaur, Only Child and Trying.
Elsewhere in the results:

Peaked. Image shows left to right: Beth (Ada Player), Sara (Ele McKenzie)

Peaked, the Channel 4 Comedy Blap pilot set in rural Derbyshire, picked up the Best Short-Form Scripted trophy. Written by Ada Player and Bron Waugh, it stars Player, Ele McKenzie, Freddie Meredith, Indra Ové and Pearce Quigley.

Super Happy Magic Forest

Super Happy Magic Forest, the new animated CBBC sitcom, won the Best Digital Children's Content award.
