Ellie finds herself in hiding in a remote Scottish village called Hope Springs along with fellow ex-cons Hannah, Josie and Shoo after plans to start a new life in Barbados - courtesy of £3m stolen from her gangster husband - go awry.

All the girls have to do is keep their heads down, assume new identities and plan an escape to their Barbados idyll... little do they know that Hope Springs is going to change their lives forever.

Our Review: This comedy drama was billed as follows: "A fun, lively and entertaining escapist eight-part drama all about losing millions, finding love and chasing your dreams - no matter how unattainable they seem. But, most of all, it's about finding a real family amongst friends."

It sounds a bit sappy... and frankly the resultant programme was indeed just that. The press gave it some pretty nasty reviews... which is perhaps a bit un-fair, as it isn't that bad. However, that said, we stopped watching after a couple of episodes as it didn't managed to hold our attention.
