I signed up just to post in this thread.
I actually quite enjoyed the show, yeah it was rough round the edges, yeah it was puerile and unsophisticated, but so was Family Guy when it first started out. Shows like this need time to grow into themselves, for the characters to develop and to get comfortable in its own skin.
This unfortunately never got the chance. Damn shame.
