It's one of my favourites too! Ferry played it at the solo gig in Basel I attended in 2002 (or 2003?).

Yeah, it does start a bit slowly.
I've played it hundreds of times, and hadn't particularly noticed, or thought about it before.
The intro is padding really, but I still like it.
Glad you enjoyed it. Just looking at the picture sleeve (on the YouTube clip) is very nostalgic for me. I still have my copy, thankfully. 
This is pretty cool. Heard it for the first time today.
