Love Count Arthur Strong.

One of my favourite programmes of all time. :)

First time I heard the radio show I thought CAS quite funny but to my mind he's one trick pony flogging..errm, a dead horse. Now if I happen to overhear the show it just plain irritates the feck out of me.

I suppose the point about the Count is that he is out of date to begin with. A bit like Father Ted really.

Excellent.

Thanks for highlighting. :)

.....Enjoyed it but one or two people I know took the Alexei Q line above.

As comedy programmes go, still definitely Marmite.

Being interviewed on Radio Suffolk this morning, and will be available on catch up, if you want to hear it, here:-

Listen from about 2 hours + in.

Also on live at The Apex, Bury St Edmunds tomorrow night. Says it is sold out, but on the radio it said there were tickets available:-

Maths was never your strong point. ;) It's like saying he gave 110%. >_<

Currently listening to Count Arthur's autobiography, and much like I, Partridge it's probably the best way to experience it . . . it doesn't make sense for the spoonerisms, digressions and malapropisms to appear in an edited and proof read book, but suits them reading said text aloud and occasionally other things cross their mind . . .

'Turkey's deputy prime minister, Bülent Arinç '

:D

Anyone know where I can go and listen to Series 1 of the Count's Radio shows?

Most of the other series (with the exception of half of Series 3) seem to be freely available on the BBC YouTube channel, amongst others.

Were they the un-politically correct years?

Ta!

I don't think that factored in the request . . .
