Two elderly ladies share not only their living quarters but also a rather private brand of wacky logic. Madge is able to bully her best friend Lilian only because she is her paying lodger but their friendship hangs on a knife-edge because of it. Each woman is psychologically dependent upon the other; a state of affairs that causes resentment between them.
