Upon moving into a boarding house, bachelor Basil Puddifoot has a chance meeting with incredibly timid fellow resident Olive in the hallway. Later, she mis-dials on the telephone and ends up getting through to him; but putting on a posh voice, and he the same in return, neither recognise the other, and begin a telephonic romance.
