Clive becomes worried about Sylvia's friendship with the good-looking new curate. The Vicar is also worried about his curate after the discovery of a betting slip in a hymn book, and beer bottles in the vestry. There's an answer to all this, but it's Sylvia's turn to wonder, when Clive gleefully announces that he has joined the church choir ... among the mezzo sopranos!
