Queenie Shepherd is a proper Yorkshire lass, drinking ale in far from small amounts, and ruling over her own 'castle' - Buckingham Flats' Margaret Rose House tower block. Any dissenters will find plenty of trouble from her and her three sons, Raymond, Douglas and Bunny. Her arch-enemy is the aptly named, Mrs Petty.
