ITV commissions sketch show pilot 'Say! Less!'

- Say! Less!, a sketch show pilot showcasing rising black comedy stars, is coming to ITVX in October
- Created by producer Kevin Muyolo, the 22 minute pilot will be "bold, smart, and unapologetically Black British Gen Z"
ITVX has commissioned Say! Less!, a "fast-paced, self-aware" sketch show.
The 22-minute pilot, which will be released during October's Black History Month, is set to be fronted by a cast of rising black comedy stars. The programme is described as "a rapid-fire mix of viral parodies, absurd characters, and wild sketches that channel the energy of online culture and the awkwardness of offline reality."
Produced by Daddy's SuperYacht Productions, the format has been created by executive producer Kevin Muyolo. Named in 2022 as one of TV Collective's Breakthrough Leaders, he has previously worked on comedies such as BBC Three sketch show Famalam, Munya Chawawa's Race Around Britain online series and Channel 4's The Big Narstie Show.
ITV notes: "Say! Less! will be bold, smart, and unapologetically Black British Gen Z."
The show, which aside from being available on ITVX will also be uploaded to ITV's YouTube channel, has been commissioned by Richard Botchway (Commissioning Editor, ITV) and Nahrein Kemp (DEI & Talent Lead) as part of the network's 2025 Fresh Cuts strand. Say! Less! is the first scripted comedy commissioned for Fresh Cuts which, in the past, has been exclusively for factual and factual entertainment formats.
Fresh Cuts is funded through ITV's Diversity Commissioning Spend, a ring-fenced £80 million for diverse projects over the next three years.
Say! Less! is one of six programmes commissioned for Fresh Cuts 2025, which is scheduled for Black History Month (October) and Disability History Month (November). The full line up of commissions will be announced soon.
