Big Fat Quiz to return for sport special
- Channel 4 is to broadcast the special The Big Fat Quiz Of Sport
- Due to be recorded at the end of November, the special will be hosted by Jimmy Carr
- Topics are set to include football chants, sporting nicknames and boxing trash talk
The Big Fat Quiz format is to return to Channel 4 for a sports special, hosted by Jimmy Carr.
Advertising tickets for the studio recording on Monday 28th November 2022 at BBC Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, the producers say: "Join Quizmaster Jimmy Carr and a panel of top comedians as they give sport the Big Fat Quiz treatment for this one-off special. Whether it's the Ancient Olympics sporting films, football chants, sporting nicknames or boxing trash talk - Jimmy will challenge your favourite comedians to win the Big Fat Quiz Trophy."
The show is expected to be broadcast on Channel 4 in December, to tie in with the football World Cup.
The line-up of guests has yet to be revealed, but past shows have often involved Jonathan Ross, David Mitchell, Noel Fielding and Richard Ayoade.
Focused on the news events of the previous twelve months, The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year launched on Channel 4 in 2004 has run every year since. There has also been specials dedicated to decades and spin-off format The Big Fat Quiz Of Everything launched in 2015.
