Channel 4 has ordered another special edition of Taskmaster to air this coming festive season.

A 2023 edition of Taskmaster's New Year Treat is recording this month and expected to be broadcast in the first week of January.

Tasks are believed to be recording now, whilst studio segments will be filmed in front of a live audience at Pinewood Studios on 22nd November. Applications for free tickets are now being accepted by SRO Audiences.

It's been confirmed that comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg, presenter Carol Vorderman, DJ Greg James, athlete Mo Farah and singer Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor) will be trying to win Greg's golden eyebrows.

The line-up has been revealed in a trailer:

It will be the third such special, following successful New Year outings in 2021 and 2022. Whilst the series proper focuses on guests from the world of comedy, the specials reach out more broadly into the various corners of the world of celebrity and the two programmes to date have featured actors, politicians, and television presenters alike.

Those to have taken part in previous years are John Hannah, Claudia Winkleman, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Nicola Coughlan, Jonnie Peacock, Rylan Clark-Neal, Shirley Ballas, Adrian Chiles, Lady Leshurr and Sayeeda Warsi.
