Sky has ordered a fourth series of Breeders.

The sitcom, starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard, explores modern parenting and family dynamics.

Its third series recently finished airing in the US, where it is commissioned by cable channel FX, and began just last week on Sky Comedy.

Produced by Avalon and FX Productions, Series 4 is likely to film and air in 2023.

Zai Bennett, MD of Content at Sky UK & Ireland, says: "This uniquely honest and hilariously entertaining comedy about the pitfalls of parenting really strikes a chord with UK audiences. It's fabulous news that we can announce Series 4 before audiences get to watch series 3 on Sky. We're in for a treat, and thanks to Avalon and FX for continuing our partnership to see what's next for the Worsley family."

Created by Chris Addison, Martin Freeman and Simon Blackwell, who also acts as lead writer, the comedy launched in 2020 and each of the three series to date has comprised of ten episodes.

Series 4 was commissioned by Jon Mountague, Director of Comedy at Sky Studios and Tilusha Ghelani, Commissioning Editor for Sky Studios, for Bennett, and Nick Grad, President of Original Programming at FX Entertainment.
