Alex Horne and Tim Key have hosted the pilot episode of a new TV quiz show.

Producers explain: "The Percentage Game is a brand new light-hearted quiz and our panel of one hundred people will be on hand to help Alex and Tim demonstrate and explain various facts and statistics about the world."

The pilot is being overseen by Avalon, the production company that also makes Taskmaster, the hit format devised by Alex Horne on which Tim Key acts as a consultant.

In this new show, Horne acts as the host, with Key as his 'assistant'.

Horne previously ran The Percentage Game as a show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014. The two performances were labelled "Part game, part social study, one hundred percent fun."

The pilot episode, recorded at Kings Place in London this afternoon (Wednesday 6th September), involves a panel of 100 vegetarians.

It is not currently known which channel the project is aimed at, but further information will be revealed if the programme is commissioned.

It is a busy year for Alex Horne]. Taskmaster returns to TV next week, and he is also working on The Button - a family-friendly entertainment show for BBC One.
