Gayle Tuesday is an hour long comedy pilot following former faux page three girl Gayle Tuesday as she attempts a comeback into the world of British showbiz.

Written by, and starring Brenda Gilhooly as Gayle Tuesday, the hour long pilot is filmed in a documentary style, following Gayle as she tries desperately to get herself back on TV on the reality show circuit.

The show follows Gayle doing all the things she thinks she should do to make it as a modern celeb; botox, dubious charity work and going to the opening of an envelope, as well as lying her way onto a Cookery reality show.

The show is a mixture of scripted and improvised material as Gayle goes out and about to meet her public. Some of the TV shows are real and some are parodies seamlessly put together to create an often bleak, but funny look at the life and nature of surviving as a Z-list celebrity today. She is also accompanied by her idiotic PA, Kevin who lives and breathes the 'Gayle Tuesday dream' on a daily basis.

Guest cameos in the pilot include Harry Hill (who also script edited the pilot), Heston Blumenthal, Ainsley Harriot, Toyah Wilcox, Paul O'Grady and Louie Spence.

Gayle Tuesday also tries her luck with Elle Macpherson and the Britain's Next Top Model judging panel, but doesn't quite make the grade.

Gayle Tuesday is Brenda Gilhooly's best known character; a busty, archetypal dumb blonde and Page Three girl. She first appeared on UK television as Gayle in 1993 with Channel 4 series !Viva Cabaret! She has since appeared on shows such as The Jack Dee Show and Lily Live!, as well as her own series, Gayle's World. Most recently she has worked as a writer on multi Bafta award winning show Harry Hill's TV Burp.

LIVING TV Group's Head of Commissioning, Mark Sammon, says: "Gayle is back! And where else would she want to be than on LIVING, the UK's top celebrity channel. We know that LIVING's young audience love scripted comedy on the channel, like US hit Cougar Town, so we're very excited to have made our first commissioning step into this genre and to have secured the services of such a great comedy writer and performer in Brenda."

Black Orchid Productions Producer Pete Ward said: "Gayle Tuesday is a unique character who is unashamedly enthusiastic about the world of celebrity. It is the first scripted comedy for LIVING, and we are delighted to be at the forefront of that."
