Many things have changed for Doctors Waring, Collier and Stuart Clark since their time as medical students. All are working at St Swithins although Stuart-Clark is a social-climbing professor in search of a knighthood and Collier spends more time at his profitable private surgery. Dr Waring, on the other hand, is a paediatrician and tries to fight the injustices of the failing NHS while helping to bring up five daughters.
