Sitcom Mission 2024 longlist

We've sifted through hundreds of entries for this year's Sitcom Mission and have finally decided on a longlist of six to go through to our Public Showcase at the Canal Café Theatre on Weds 5th June, 7:30pm. Our 6 scripts are:

Hitperson by Joshua Lingard-Smith
The Irish Goodbye by Adam Hannigan
Lord It Over by Jack Stanley
Mourning People by Sean Fee
Strapped by Hannah Boyd-Piercy
We're expecting to sell out fast so if you'd like to see these scripts read out live by our fantastic actors, book your tickets now
The public showcase gives us a great opportunity to get an audience response to each of the scripts. This, alongside judging from the Sitcom Mission team, will help us decide on the 4 scripts that will go through to the Industry Final (26th June), which will be attended by production companies, commissioners and agents.

Note: this is the first year in which scripts have been picked 'blind' without any names or covering emails. All we had to go on were the characters, premise, story world and dialogue. We're happy with our choices, but there's nothing so subjective as comedy so don't despair if we didn't pick yours.
For those who opted for a Bronze entry, we're working through your feedbacks now and you'll have these by August.
