Natalie Haynes has confirmed her Radio 4 format Natalie Haynes Stands Up For The Classics will return for Series 9 in November, and that a tenth series will follow in 2024.

The show, which began on the radio in 2014, sees Haynes taking "a fresh look at the ancient world" and, in each episode, creating a stand-up routine about a figure from those times.

She posted on Twitter "S9 of NHSUftC will be broadcast in Nov this year- sorry for the wait. But I can confirm that there WILL be S10 next year! Not only that, but it will be DOUBLE the number of episodes! Let us know who you'd like me to stand up for, we'll see what we can do..."

To date, each series of Natalie Haynes Stands Up For The Classics has been four episodes long, which suggests the Series 10 order is for eight episodes.

All 32 episodes already broadcast are available on BBC Sounds
