UK's Funniest Blogger Awards - nominations open

The Dog's Doodahs - Funniest Blog

Do you write a funny blog, curate an amusing website or post jokes a lot on Twitter? If so, you might like to put yourself forward for the UK's Funniest Blogger Awards, run by greetings card company The Dog Doodahs.

The competition is open to anyone in the UK who curates a blog, website or Twitter feed which has a humorous angle to it.

The company explains: "We've been running these awards for a few years now and we've welcomed many of the UK's top digital gigglers to our ranks. We welcome any blogger, be they a traditional blogger (e.g. Wordpress etc) or someone who has their own website or even a Twitter account/profile. As long as you've been making the UK giggle, we want to celebrate you."

Last year the competition was won by Angry people in local newspapers, a photo-based blog run by Alistair Coleman. One-liner comedian Tony Cowards was named the funniest Twitter user for his account @TonyCowards

The competition will ultimately be decided by a public vote, with the winner taking away the title and a £100 cash prize. At the moment it is at the nominations stage. To submit your work, or point the organisers to a website or blog you like, visit www.thedogsdoodahs.com

The above web page also has a link to the competition's full terms and conditions.

The deadline to submit is 3rd March 2015.
