Dealing with deadlines

Deadlines. For every writer, they can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. No matter what level you're writing at, and in what form, all comedy writers have to cope with deadlines. Sometimes they will be imposed, sometimes they will be self-imposed; some will be more important than others.

If your show is in production, the director and cast are in place and shooting starts next week, then hitting those dates is obviously more important than if you're toying with a pilot script in your free time.
