Talkback Productions - often styled TalkBack - was formed in 1981 by Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones and made a string of comedy hits. In 2003 it was bought by FremantleMedia, the owners of Thames Television. Fremantle merged the two, forming TalkbackThames.
