Obituary: William G Stewart

In 1959 William G Stewart was a young man living at the YMCA in Brixton, south London, when a BBC producer, T Lesley Jackson, gave a talk to the residents. Having wanted to work in television from an early age, Stewart seized his chance, asked Jackson for a job and within days was shifting props.
