Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush: An Anthology Of Poems And Conversations From Outside

By Tim Key and Emily Juniper

In March 2020, Tim Key started writing poetry and conversations about the first lockdown. At the end of the year he published these contemplations in He Used Thought As A Wife, a book for these pandemic times, beautifully designed by his long time collaborator, Emily Juniper. The collection became a Times best-seller and that would have been that. Except the United Kingdom got locked down once more, at the start of 2021. And Key started to write once more.

Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush is a chronicle of Key's life as the new lockdown took hold. Where the first book is set entirely in the confines of Key's North London apartment, this one is its mirror. Every conversation, every glimpse of Key occurs in the outdoors. He has been granted permission to walk by the government, and it is in these moments that we see him. Each time, he is either on the blower to one of his allies, or, occasionally, exercising with a real-life friend. The whole time lamenting and processing the "new normal". And interspersed with these playlets, there is poetry. About the mad new laws, the mad law-makers, about bubbles, vaccines and variants.

Emily Juniper has again come up with a beautiful, eye-catching design, as she and Key continue to dovetail through the chaos. She is both the glue that keeps Key's life together throughout the book. And she serves the same purpose in real life, too. Emily has chosen paperstock and they have teamed up with Calverts of London to print. Once more Emily's publishing house - "Utter" & Press - have sent the book into the world. Again they have fired out a limited pre-Christmas print-run to Key's Instagram followers, and now the book sets forth beyond that, into the high street and beyond.

Not in the UK?

Fear not! Many items can still be ordered. Amazon in the UK delivers to many international territories, whilst their Australia, USA and Canada stores also supply many equivalent or imported items.

If you are in the North America, look out for US/Canadian flag icons on popular product listings for direct links.

If you order from a UK store, please note that the UK is in Region 2 and B, respectively, for DVDs and Blu-rays - check your player's compatibility, or look for multi-region products if you are located in another region.

If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. The UK and Australasia are in the same Blu-ray region (B).
