The Telegraph, 13th June 2015Jeeves & Wooster: Perfect Nonsense review
A lifelong fan of the works of P. G. Wodehouse, I was very much looking forward to tonight's performance of Jeeves And Wooster: Perfect Nonsense at the Kings Theatre, Edinburgh. Yes, I was dubious as to whether it would stand up to the classic 90's television adaptions, famously portrayed by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, but when it comes to Wodehouse how can you possibly go wrong?

If you like Russell Howard but are a little tired of his Good News shtick then it's good news (if you'll excuse the repetition) for you, as this new series sees him return to more traditional stand-up which is where he really shines. Highlights from his set include an unexpected greeting from an old lady and an oddly intense masseuse - not to mention pointing out the fundamental lack of logic in being a racist football supporter.
There are a couple of tweaks to the stand-up format, though, which include Howard answering questions from the audience that range from tame to extremely odd and ultimately result in one toe-curlingly funny moment when the Bristolian comedian inadvertently insults an audience member to almost instant regret.
Here he's joined by Nish Kumar and Sara Pascoe - the latter of whom gets great comedic mileage out of a recent appearance on QI. We'll never look at Stephen Fry's face in quite the same way again...

The last time we saw Mr Bean he was bringing the house down at the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, playing one note of Chariots of Fire. Can he (alongside Ben Miller and Rebecca Front) possibly be as funny for 2015's Comic Relief?
Anyone who's anyone from the world of comedy is on BBC One for this comedy marathon. Dawn French dusts off her dog collar to become the Bishop of Dibley (despite some famous rivals); and David Walliams gets in a right kerfuffle as patronising carer Lou, who appears to have a new charge - Professor Stephen Hawking. Miranda Hart, Stephen Fry, Russell Brand and Cardinal Burns also pop by.
There are stunts, dares and the unmissable sight of Dermot O'Leary dancing his socks off (will he survive this danceathon?).
In between all this hilarity are sobering film clips reminding us what this is really all about: donating money.

Stephen Fry, 13th February 2015Review: QI at the University of Kent, Canterbury
It would be easy to assume that attending popular panel show QI without Stephen Fry is a little like going to watch U2 only to be told Bono was going to sit this one out because he's a bit busy somewhere else. Probably saving the lives of some poor unfortunates, no doubt. But such an analogy would be far too unkind. Especially when a little bit of history was made on Monday night.
