British Comedy Guide, 15th January 2018Review: Vicki Pepperdine & Ellie White's Summer
It doesn't feel like the most original comedy but it is beautifully observed and exquisitely performed.
Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 29th June 2017The Miser review
This play is only remotely likeable when it is openly mocking its own failings.
Annabel Mellor, West End Wilma, 15th May 2017Decline And Fall review
Imagine such a bygone world where someone would get a job they are ill-suited for, simply because they are posh. How foolish! Still, it will be interesting to see how George Osborne's London Evening Standard reviews the new BBC One adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's stinging social satire Decline And Fall.
Steve Bennett, Chortle, 31st March 2017TV preview: Decline And Fall, BBC1
Well we've gone back to the 1970s this week, we might as well go the whole hog and go back to the 1920s with this three-part television adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's classic novel. Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 30th March 2017Review: The Miser - Garrick Theatre, London
This nearly 400-year-old play does all but disappoint.
Cavelle Leigh, The Reviews Hub, 14th March 2017The Miser review
The Miser certainly isn't tight-fisted with the laughs.
Steve Bennett, Chortle, 13th March 2017Review: The Miser at the Garrick Theatre
Hits the contemporary spot: Amelia Forsbrook reviews Sean Foley and Phil Porter's adaptation of Molière.
Amelia Forsbrook, Exeunt Magazine, 13th March 2017Review: The Miser
'Comedy first, psychological insight later' is Sean Foley's take on The Miser, and indeed his production is fresh, funny and farcical. But maybe his cast can afford to relax a bit more - they're all excellent, after all.
What's On Stage, 13th March 2017The Miser at the Garrick Theatre review
A delightful feast of non-stop laughter. The two-and-a-half hour running time is not felt at all as every moment has something to offer.
