Following the release of a documentary mocking his life and in a final attempt to kickstart his musical career, Garry Sullivan starts work on his debut album. In the process his life crumbles around him. He fails in his pursuit of artistic integrity, his friends leave his side and, worse of all, he realises he isn't really that special after all.

With the backdrop of the musical metropolis of Manchester, this quirky northern comedy takes Garry on a journey to the depths of despair. It shows that a modicum of talent and an affected personality is not enough to cut it in the music industry.
