Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

Lynn Ruth Miller began her stand-up career in 2004 aged 71 in the USA. She changed countries in 2014 and began again to establish herself on the comedy circuit in the UK. She's very happy with the progress she's making in the UK but wishes it could happen faster. She's 82 and doesn't want to wait til she's 100 to be famous.

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself (but mix them up, keep us guessing!).

1. Lynn Ruth Miller won a beauty contest when she was sixteen.

2. Aged 82 she has all her own teeth.

3. She's pregnant.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

A warning from history. Aged 82, Lynn Ruth Miller's hour of comedy pulls no punches. This is not afternoon tea with your grandmother.

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

Striptease in front of the Scottish Parliament and Bra throwing accompanied by the Sex Pistols's Anarchy in the UK. She has a collection of bras which is supplemented every year by the Nicolson Street Shelter Charity Shop.

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

It's a challenge. Being Jewish, the major events of her life are breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can anybody spare some gefilte fish .... or maybe a knisch.

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

The smell of fish and chips from Brighton's favourite Fish & Chip Shop, Bardsleys. Lynn Ruth lives above the shop.

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

Learning the bagpipes. Currently learning eukele, hoola hooping and tap dancing.

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

Stephen K Amos
The Boy With Tape On His Face
Janey Godley
Stephen Bailey
Jason Byrne
Kate Copstick
& John Fleming (Malcolm Hardee Awards) if he can manage to stand-up

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

Her mother because she's never forgiven Lynn Ruth for not marrying a doctor.

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

Catch her now - this may be your last chance to see her and there's always the chance she could die onstage.
