Whisky Galore
One of Scotland's best-loved comedies. 1942, WW2, the Todday islanders are in despair - there is no whisky! All the whisky is being exported to America to pay for the war. Even beer is rationed. A shipload of whisky runs aground. Can the cargo be saved - on the Sabbath? Not if Captain Waggett, the Home Guard CO can help it. Much of the comedy stems from poking gentle fun at bureaucracy in general. Wonderful couthy characters and a love interest makes this a show everyone will enjoy.
