The Oxford Imps: Pun and Games
The Oxford Imps are a critically-acclaimed, internationally-touring comedy group comprised of a mixture of Oxford University students and local Oxford residents. Last year their sell-out run at The Gilded Balloon was described as 'a tightly paced, incredibly funny show' (ThreeWeeks) containing 'quick wit and effortless wordplay... Superhuman stuff' (FringeReview.co.uk). This year The Oxford Imps return with their light-hearted, fast-paced, family-friendly brand of improvised comedy. Each show begins with improvised sketches, stories, games and songs, before culminating in a twenty-minute(ish) improvised mini-play, which can vary from Shakespeare to James Bond to musicals!

Interview: Oxford Imps
This year the Imps turn 10 and look and sound great for a group who have a decades worth of Edinburgh Fringe experience. But this year they are also bringing their children's show The Curious Case of the Improvised Musical to the festival inspired by Agatha Christie and is set to become a riot!

After their sell out run in 2013, the Oxford Imps return to the Edinburgh Fringe with their clever, light-hearted, family-friendly brand of improvised comedy.
Each show is comprised of improvised sketches, games, stories and songs, culminating in a twenty-minute(ish) improvised mini-play, which can vary from Shakespeare to James Bonds to Broadway-style musicals! Pun and Games is an improvised sketch show packed full of quick wit and boundless energy that will kickstart any evening of Fringe comedy.
The Oxford Imps are an improvised comedy group who were formed in 2004, and since then they have been to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 10 times, Providence Improv Festival 3 times and Utrecht in the Netherlands 8 times.. They have also performed in New York at the Magnet Theatre and UCB East, and in Nashville at the
Belcourt Theatre. Notable former Imps include So You Think You're Funny? winner Ivo Graham, BBC New Comedy Awards finalist Chris Turner, and members of Chortle Award winning improv show Austentatious! An Improvised Comedy.
