I'm rather more concerend about them getting to Al Quaeda.

Yes, because it really exists Rolling eyes

You know if it doesn't there's some really modest guys setting of car bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It exists, maybe swelled by Iraq/Afghanistan war, but it's real.

It's very sensible UK Trident can't work without US technical input.

Quite.

Like the US selling us a couple of Apache Longbows and not training us how to use them so they are sitting in a hanger gathering dust...what kind allies.

I barely remember that story, but I think it was do to a UK government misstep. The Apache has been sold to several other allies as well.

True Al Quaeda like My Little Pony was always more of a brand, than a real organisation.

But a lethal brand.

Al Quaeda? Who are they? They sound like some middle eastern pop group combo that Sting's teamed up with to save the world. Sting and The Al Quaeda's has a good ring to it actually. Or have I missed something?

That was one of the "rogue elements" I was referring to.

We should've kept the Harrier keys.

We should nurture the talent to design and build everything at home.

Both countries are occupied. Some retaliation is to be expected.
So what proof do you have that they all know each other? Maybe the IRA are Al Qaeda as well, because they used to let off bombs?

With or without instruction ;)

Agreed.

And we used to. The UK V bomber force was flying at Mach2 all the way to Moscow under Radar cover. When the USAF was still lumbering around in B52s.

The computer, the jet all UK inventions all stupidly pissed up the wall.

Maybe I'm thinking of another system, but I'm pretty sure that the UK's Apaches were built in England. That's how it goes with many weapons systems these days. Our Air Force just signed a huge contract to replace their aging tankers and Airbus won out over Boeing. I think the award will be contested for a long time, so nothing's definite yet.
