As we were back in the 70s ("sick man of Europe"). Until Mrs Thatcher came along to rescue us.

God bless her.

Yep.

Much as I loathed Thatcher, at least she didn't dress like she wanted every man to look at her tits and thighs.

Whether we all like it or not, the young have every right to vote for who they choose. They have more life ahead than many of us do - the future is theirs and if the want to vote Labour, they've every right. How can we be so sure they're wrong and we're right?

I'm afraid time will tell.

And, on another level, I spent today with a friend who lives between Scotland ( she's a physics professor, so no fool) and France..

I think she'd have to be a Physics professor to live between Scotland and France!

I wasn't at all surprised to learn we're the laughing stock of Europe due to Brexit.

Do you really think what we care about what they think?

And do we think that what they think has actually changed at all?

Why do all the people who espouse democracy call for days of rage/protest/civil disorder. As usual with these clowns it's their "democracy" on their terms. For the record I'm no tory fan either, I just respect democracy, whatever the outcome may be. No one has the monopoly on being right. There are good genuine MP's in every party and sadly wrong uns too.

Quite. They're no democrats: they're anarcho-communist SWP agitators.

Nicola isn't 60 f**king years old, nor do I recall her flaunting her tits.

And you're showing the usual weird English predjudice against the French.

Absolutely nothing weird about it.

Here;s my voting history since I was old enough
1992 Labour
1997 Green
2001 Labour
2005 Conservative
2010 Conservaive
2015 Conservative
2017 Labour ( I was gong to go Lib Dem but Farron was a bit wishy washy)

Out of interest Steve, what swung you to Labour last month?

Oh no, now I'm getting flashbacks to "Hanky-panky with The Swinging Krankies".

With May's Photos, what shocked me was she wearing so much red. Was she hoping some people would think she was labour and vote for her by mistake ?

Until your recent mid-life crisis, you seem to be the living embodiment of the oft-quoted/mis-quoted "if a man is not socialist by the time he is 20, he has no heart; if he is not a Conservative by the time he is 40, he has no brain".

I can see why people gravitate towards Corbyn. He IS principled, believes in what he says, does not change with the weather and seems honest. Refreshingly, he also talks like a grown up, which is a welcome relief from the likes of Blair, Cameron, Clegg, Nuttall, Sturgeon and Boris. Sadly, I cant agree with him on most issues and the people he surrounds himself with (Abbott, McDonnell, Thornberry, Starmer, Chakrabarti, Watson) you couldn't trust to operate a pedal bin.

One reason was that it was looking like the Tories were going to be in forever, and I prefer there to be a strong opposition to any
governing party
Also Corbyn looked liked he believed in what he was saying, Theresa May didn't seem to have any conviction
And the Tories had changed their candidate since the last election
My constituency has Margaret Hodge so its a healthy majority and therefore my vote was pretty useless anyway
