Maybe part of the problem is that people in hospitals are sick and often just don't feel like eating. Not sure ordering food for the day in the morning would help. You could be feeling ok in the morning but by the time lunchtime/dinnertime comes you might be feeling crappy depending what tests and medications you've had.

I don't know why they have presented this as news. It's nothing new.

You could say that about most news stories! They've all happened before. Murder. Terrorism. Rape. Corruption. Scandal.

Although thinking about it, the news would be more fun if they had to come up with brand new types of news that had never happened before.

Ok, you got me
Angry

I just get sick of this subject in particular. Yet another celebrity chef made a series about it this year and in Feb MP Daniel Poulter said "thousands of patient assessors will join a tough new inspection programme starting in April 2013 to drive up standards." Whatever that means.
I've never had a decent meal in a hospital. I've never seen any decent cleaning done either but that's another story.

You can always get chips though :P

Funny, my mum spent some time in hospital recently, and she loved the food.

It's nice when we all get along.

Repeat after me - "they are not uncivilized c**ts"

And they are the rebels that our Govmt is considering giving aid to !!!

There are loads of different groups of rebels. We're already giving them aid just not weapons. The government aren't considering giving weapons to the islamists, the trouble is if the weapons end up in their hands anyway.

What do you reckon Chums ?

I think it's pig ignorant to be on the phone when someone is serving you.

Bloody rude.

Definitely rude. But, speaking as an ex worker-in-a-shop, at least it's one person I wouldn't be expected to make polite chit chat with.

It is so rude to be on the phone when someone is serving you. As a customer most people would be annoyed if the person serving you was also talking on the phone. I used to work in a shop and had this one regular who would actually start to make a call as I serving them. So many times was tempted to start doing something else.

If a customer wants to use the phone, that's what the self service tills are for! The machine will not be offended. It will still try to talk to you though.
