C = Commodore.

It's Commodore 64 or C64. Not both. What next - PIN Number? LCD display?

You're right with C64, but people are always saying 'PIN Number'.

No, it doesn't make it right, but they do!

Well I was only about 8 when we had a C64, so forgive me for getting a little comfusederised.

These people are called idiots who shouldn't be allowed bank privileges.

At 8 I was composing symphonies . . .

No, hang on, that wasn't me, that was Mozart.

No, that was me!

Oh, wait. Yeah it was Mozart.

I say 'PIN number' every single day. :)

It never even occured to me it was redundant.

I say Pin Number Hand.

You and your blooming hand.

There are numerous things like that. "LCD display", as already noted. "And etc." is also a fairly common expression.

And I'm nowhere near bright enough to get the other funnies you're making.

So back to The IT Crowd.

Oh my god, so it was!

It works on two levels :O

I work for a pharmaceutical company. We had a company trying to sell us a chuck capper (a machine for putting lids on bottles). The company was called New England and their machine was called the 'New England NERCC Rotary Chuck Capper'.

Right, definitely back to The IT Crowd.

Do people call it 'the it crowd' or 'the I.T. crowd'?

I'd heard that it was supposed to be it rather than IT but on this week's they said 'previously on The I.T. Crowd...'

I.T. Crowd.

Well it avoids ambiguity; if one said PI Number. people would think you meant 3.14157...

Mmmmmm pie....

On the recent Charlie Brooker's Screenwripe writers' special, Linehan himself pronounced it as separate characters. The I T Crowd.
