Yup! I have a whole little history lesson about him and how he what methods he used to create his works. Then they have to create their own using computers.
It's my technical portion of a 3 week lesson plan on Pop Art.
They are also going to have to create Warhol style prints using lino blocks:

and Oldenburg style sculptures made with sheets that are dipped in water mixed with glue, draped over boxes then painted to look like the object they chose.

Don't like a fuss it's true. But Presents and cake are f**king essential.

Ooooh, 3 weeks on Pop Art!
Can I come and be in your class please?
Warhol and Lichtenstein make me happy.

I never actually liked those sculptures, but they would definitely be fun to make.

Oh! Bugger. Erm. Something around b and c. I'd totally forgotten about them though. I had one. I don't know the best before date. And it looks like I tore off the part of the packaging with it on.

Using a computer is cheating. :D And just undermines the whole history lesson. Why not teach them to screen print instead. Whistling nnocently

If I had the equipment to do so I would. Plus they'll get a lesson in how he actually did it. But most importantly it fits into my curriculum that I presented them with current technology. Pleased
