I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,777

Nothing respectable about them, but certainly right-wing. Almost crashed the entire economy immediately!
No rule that right wing governments can't capitulate! Mussolini's Italy and Nazi Germany both surrendered in the end.

"In the end" is not the same as "at first sign". In fact it's the complete opposite.

When I talk of "right wing" policies, I think of law & order, immigration, family values... Not one controversial budget. I am not an economist.

Fourteen years of Tory government. News media overwhelmingly dominated by the right for decades. And still we are told society has been taken over by "lefty loonies!"
It must be the influence of the all-powerful trade unions...

Society is more influenced by a mix of schools - most state schools have an overwhelming abundance of left leaning teachers peddling a wokeist and often blaringly anti British/white privilege ideology; universities - an rapidly increasing number of unis are bowing to the pressures of neurotic lefty student unions intent on a woke left wing revolution; TV - most channels are giving in to wokeist ideology mongers and inventing diversity cultures in their shows which bear little resemblance to real life.

All this can be construed as a crude attempt at social engineering us toward a more socialistic, multicultural, multi gender fantasy utopia where free speech is censored to fit in with a neo-Stalinist type of state controlled society.

Good evening.

They all capitulated in the end anyway!
Some examples of right wing governments please...?

So: one person is convinced the UK is in thrall to a Stalinist/woke conspiracy which has made society ultra left wing while somehow not really influencing any election results.
Another argues none of the recent governments have really been right-wing and doesn't want to offer any examples of governments which he does consider to be genuinely conservative.
Are these typical examples of right wing thinking?

Yep Corbyn was the most left wing Labour leader since Foot and he got annihilated by Johnson when the electorate told him to f**k off

That was only 4 years ago

Even so called red wall Labour voters chose the Bullingdon boy over lefty Corbyn

Meanwhile more lies from sunak over Rwanda today

Sunak: "Labour is stopping us in the House of Lords"

Tory Lords = 241

Labour Lords = 181

Really? You don't know of any? Haven't you already mentioned two?

Looks like Plastic Patriot, Tommy Robinson, might get off today - because the arresting officer put the wrong date on the warrant.
Bloody two-tier policing!

I can think of plenty!
I wanted to hear some examples of governments which you consider to be genuinely right-wing. Bearing in mind you don't think the present government are!

Remember the other day Sunak said all sick people are liars and should get to work ?

"A major scheme to help disabled people into work has been quietly scrapped - just as the prime minister announced a crackdown on disability benefits.

The £100m Work and Health Programme, operating in England and Wales, will end in the autumn, providers have been told, at the same time that Rishi Sunak wants to cut benefits for 420,000 sick and disabled people in an attempt to force them into work - a move that charities say would instead leave people destitute.

The blow to disabled people comes after the prime minister unveiled a plan to hand power to officials with no medical training to decide whether an employee is sick, raising the possibility that decisions about workers' health will be taken to hit targets rather than on clinical need."

How much longer do we have to endure this TIT ?

Well, let's go with the two examples of right wing government you gave:

Quote: Chris Hallam @ 21st April 2024, 8:41 PM

right wing governments... ...Mussolini's Italy and Nazi Germany

Are you seriously comparing living under those regimes with:

Huw Edwards has finally resigned after collecting a year's salary.
He did not read the news today oh boy.

He has that mental illness that makes you show photographs of your bare arse to boys.

No. I was not! Johnson and Truss were both unusually awful prime ministers by UK standards. Bad right wing populist Tories. But they certainly were not Hitler.
Trump is much closer to being a Hitler/Mussolini type. A true enemy of democracy and the people.

Easily the most ridiculous words I'll read today.

Very much not, I'm afraid.
Trump attempted to mount a coup to overturn a democratic election result. He has brought the USA (a genuinely great nation) closer to fascism than anyone else.

Easily the most ridiculous words I'll read today.

"Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler's collected speeches, "My New Order," which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. ."

Trump speech on immigrants "poisoning the blood of our country,"

Adolf would be so proud a US president using pretty much the same words he also spouted to a similar audience of hate filled right wing nutjobs

And the dickheads jailed for beating policemen with flag poles are "hostages", not violent f**king scumbags
