I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,776

Well no, surely he's free to carry on his way to where he was going, as he said? If he needs protecting then the police should have created a passage with police bodies guarding his way across the march. If he then gets physically assaulted by any in the baying crowd then the police clearly have the recorded evidence for which to charge the assailant. But no, they found it far easier to blame him for stirring up their hatred just because of his overtly religious but for him normal everyday attire.

Or put another way why must the preponderance of left wing anti semitic protesters in London be allowed so much to affect how others live, especially if they look too Jewish? They are pushing the boundary of a right to protest to the extreme by dominating the popular public spaces on weekends where people of other views and religions should also be free to go about their business without fear of being assaulted. It is because they carry the left wing 'politically correct' woke indemnity card which allows them to trample over all nasty right wing associated folk. The Police are a f**king disgrace for this apparent lurch to the left.

Of course they would. The chasmic imbalance of their approach to either extreme wing is beyond the joke it is so blaring now! 😠

It is quite impressive how you take isolated incidents and spin them out to somehow 'prove' some grand theory or argument. Back up your assertions with proper data not just anecdotal fluff that proves nothing.

How you come up with your versions of what someone's just said is a mystery yet to be solved, but possibly lies in your own left sided bias, Lofty. I'm biased the other way, but only because society has been taken over by lefty loonies and and we need bringing back a bit.

No, the police should not be giving so much bloody freedom to the clearly anti semitic ie. racist element who've hijacked the marches and should be dealing with them! Not with innocent bystanders that clearly illegal to everyone but the police, element hates and would rather see dead.

What do you miss? Those river to the sea lunatics are ready for violence with anyone not of the same opinion.
Plenty of YouTube videos where they attack photographers just for filming the march.

If the Jewish chap had walked into the crowd and got a kick in the bollocks - the copper would have got slagged off for not protecting him

They can't win tbh

The guy got exactly what the wanted.
He has previous.

Ahh so he was being a provocative fool and the cops weren't playing ball

Like I said they can't win

The phrase "openly Jewish" was probably a bloody stupid expression to choose though

Fourteen years of Tory government. News media overwhelmingly dominated by the right for decades. And still we are told society has been taken over by "lefty loonies!"
It must be the influence of the all-powerful trade unions...

Oh thank god it will all go away when Labour are in power.
Another plus for them.

An absolute classic, and apart from the genius of Peter Sellers, just look at the stars in this short scene - even Sam Kydd stutters his way in............FFS

All in all, a superb film, and what us Brits do best

Yes. A classic. Someone should write an article about it...

You appear to be making the common error there of believing Johnson to be on the right politically. People should be judged, not on their political label (we know from his two prepared Brexit arguments that he will take up any label that best advantages Boris Johnson), but what they do and what they deliver.

The same could of course be said of his predecessor and at least some, if not all, of his successors. Rhetoric perhaps, in an attempt to appeal to their supposed core supporters, actual deeds no.

In fact, the modern Conservative Party, the Labour Party, the Liberal Party, the SNP, the Greens, the Welsh Nationalists... Not a right wing party amongst them.

A sad grudging acceptance that the current regime has been a disastrous failure combined with a stubborn refusal to accept anyone else could be better. Perhaps the Tories should adopt this as their campaign strategy?

What do you read?

The Truss government, for one, was definitely very right wing. That was the main problem really!

We never really got the chance to find out to be fair. In any case, what sort of respectable right wing government capitulates at the first sign of any opposition?

Nothing respectable about them, but certainly right-wing. Almost crashed the entire economy immediately!
No rule that right wing governments can't capitulate! Mussolini's Italy and Nazi Germany both surrendered in the end.
