Kind Hearts And Coronets

1949 British comedy film about revenge. Stars Dennis Price, Valerie Hobson, Joan Greenwood, Alec Guinness, Audrey Fildes and others.

The film is loosely based on the 1907 Roy Horniman novel Israel Rank: The Autobiography Of A Criminal. In the book the title character, Israel Rank, is half-Jewish rather than half-Italian, parodying antisemitic feelings at the time.

Uncredited, Nancy Freeman-Mitford also worked on the Kind Hearts And Coronets script.
