I'm a part time gag writer who doesn't get paid. I have had my jokes repeated by people on the internet plus I have had them texted to me which makes me smile. I even smile when people claim that they wrote the joke on sites like twitter and facebook. I'm just pleased they thought the joke was funny enough to pass off as their own.
Here is a tame example:
"I remember my teacher telling me that looking out of the window wouldn't get me anywhere.
Did I have a smug look on my face later on in life when I handed him his burger and fries at the drive through."
OK, not one of my best but I like it. I also write stand-up sets for a hobby and have had a couple used on stage with pleasing results.
