My name is Sean Prower and am looking to be a script writer. Up to now I have wrote two draft sitcoms and am waiting response and I have an interest in novel writing so have spent the last few years trying to write one. I've began writing a stage play and I recently started to review live shows and write comedy-based essays. I enjoy many of the older comedies and my influences therefore include Galton and Simpson and the superb Morecambe and Wise. My favourite stand ups are Sean Lock, Mark Watson, Lee Mack, Ross Noble and Lee Evans and my best loved sitcoms are Steptoe and Son, Alan Partridge and Green Wing (though it could be argued to be more com-dram than sitcom). My biggest and best-loved inspiration for many years has been and still is the wonderful Sally Phillips because of her roles as a performer and writer and her large range of performances. All the different types of comedy she has done, from radio and television sitcom and sketch shows to film and stage inspired me to begin writing. Smack The Pony has become one of my overall favourite programmes alongside The Morecambe and Wise Show.
