Matthew Holness is to go on a book tour over the next month, promoting his new work Garth Marenghi's TerrorTome.

The Garth Marenghi's TerrorTome Book Tour runs from 12th November to 13th December, starting at the Stratford Literary Festival and taking in dates including Sheffield, Cambridge, Glasgow and Brighton before concluding in Norwich.

Holness will perform in character as Marenghi, the book's ostensible author, across the 18 dates in England and Scotland.

Tickets are now available to order.

Promoters tease: "Garth Marenghi, Grand Archduke O' Darkdom, returns from the darkness (figurative darkness - he's not a spelunker) with a rare public appearance to mark the release of his long-lost multi-volume horror epic TerrorTome.

"Hardback copies of TerrorTome will be available for purchase on the day. Be warned: signings are strictly time-limited. You'll get no more than one minute with the world's greatest Frighternerman, Darkscribe, Doomsage (plus Man-Shee) before you're moved on and/or manhandled."

TerrorTome is also available to order in audiobook, hardback and eBook formats.

Holness appeared on BBC Radio Suffolk on Halloween - in his only promotional appearance as himself - discussing the book, before reading an excerpt in character. It can be listened to through BBC Sounds.

Garth Marenghi's TerrorTome

By Matthew Holness

Dare you crack open the TerrorTome? (Mind the spine)

When horror writer Nick Steen gets sucked into a cursed typewriter by the terrifying Type-Face, Dark Lord of the Prolix, the hellish visions inside his head are unleashed for real. Forced to fight his escaping imagination - now leaking out of his own brain - Nick must defend the town of Stalkford from his own fictional horrors, including avascular-necrosis-obsessed serial killer Nelson Strain and Nick's dreaded throppleganger, the Dark Third.

Can he and Roz, his frequently incorrect female editor, hunt down these incarnate denizens of Nick's rampaging imaginata before they destroy Stalkford, outer Stalkford and possibly slightly further?

From the twisted genius of horror master Garth Marenghi - Frighternerman, Darkscribe, Doomsage (plus Man-Shee) - come three dark tales from his long-lost multi-volume epic: TerrorTome.

Can a brain leak?
(Yes, it can)

'Reads like Garth's classic oeuvre of paperback horrors crossed with The X Files, Faustian myth and bits of Manimal. Plus the cover is embossed with genuine foil at his insistence and at your expense'
Ken Hodder, Head of Hodder

'These three tales of terror by Garth Marenghi are... quality'
Queen Fang, NosFor(at)um.com

'A strong beginning, deepening intrigue and a knockout ending'

Not in the UK?

Fear not! Many items can still be ordered. Amazon in the UK delivers to many international territories, whilst their Australia, USA and Canada stores also supply many equivalent or imported items.

If you are in the North America, look out for US/Canadian flag icons on popular product listings for direct links.

If you order from a UK store, please note that the UK is in Region 2 and B, respectively, for DVDs and Blu-rays - check your player's compatibility, or look for multi-region products if you are located in another region.

If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. The UK and Australasia are in the same Blu-ray region (B).
