Peter and Charles met at school and were comrades in arms - two fine, upstanding gentlemen who have been friends ever since. They jointly own an allotment and are leaseholders in a maisonette. Life has become very boring and they are tired of the same old routine. After 35 years, things are about to change...

Our Review: This third episode of The Galton And Simpson Playhouse paired the distinguished leads in a tale of unusual togetherness.

It was, unsurprisingly, very well written, with great performances and a nice pace to it - but bizarrely light on laughs. We cannot help but feel that the premise could have been taken further and grown in its own right, had a full series been created.
