The comedy character Bob Servant will soon be back on television.

Three new episodes of the BBC comedy starring the hapless 'businessman' have now been filmed. They'll be shown on BBC One Scotland in December, before getting a nationwide broadcast on BBC Four in early 2015.

Having lost the election which Series 1 was focused around, the new episodes focus on Bob and his sidekick Frank returning to their first love - the burger van business.

Bob confidently predicts that his cheeseburgers will act as an aphrodisiac for the women of Broughty Ferry and matters of the heart soon lead the brave duo astray. When Frank reveals his relationship with his swimming instructor, Dorothy, Bob's jealousy tests their friendship to breaking point.

It doesn't help that Bob's romantic pursuit of Council official Megan manages to land him in court.

Brian Cox returns to play the stubborn Bob Servant, with Jonathan Watson once again portraying Frank, his faithful sidekick and "Director of Sauces".

Daniela Nardini joins the show as Megan, a Council Official who is more than a match for Bob, and Anita Vettesse plays Frank's swimming instructor, and girlfriend, Dorothy.

Meanwhile Alex Norton will return as Bob's nemesis Jim 'Hendo' Henderson and Moray Hunter will feature as a down at heel lawyer called Objection McNally.

Creator and writer Neil Forsyth says: "I'm absolutely delighted that Bob, Frank and the rest of Broughty Ferry's finest are about to be thrust once more upon the nation. Bob's never been more ambitious, and this time it's rubbed off on wee Frank. This is a series about love, friendship and the horrific reality of life on a failing cheeseburger van. So, something for everyone".
