The Alcock Group of Companies operate from a little office in Soho and can hardly be described as successful. Mrs. Marigold Alcock inherited the company when her husband, Alfred, died. Her staff include the oldest office boy in London, Ernest, who is more of a hindrance than a help, and Richard Gander, her partner, who originally complained about the service and was offered a partnership! Nobody seems to want the Alcock Swiss Elixir, Lucky Pixie and the Tom O'Thimble pointy hat is cursed! It seems the sun has well and truly set on her business empire.

Our Review: Early failure for the highly successful writing partnership who would later use Richard O'Sullivan to spearhead an assault on 1970s viewing habits in Man About The House and Robin's Nest.
