I love "Bobby Brown" by Frank Zappa, thank goodness he didn't guitar solo the crap out of that one.

Currently listening to "Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd.

Love REM but did you like this one ? Maybe if Lou Reed got involved...

I find this version interesting because it allowed me to rediscover the actual song. The original version of Star Me Kitten (on the Automatic album) left me a bit unimpressed back in the early 90s. Years later I found a sampler called Songs In The Key Of X ( http://www.allmusic.com/album/songs-in-the-key-of-x-music-from-and-inspired-by-the-x-files-mw0000181939 ) in a bargain bin. For some reason the spoken word passages by Burroughs made me listen more closely to the fine melody of the song and finally appreciate it.

Johnnie Walker's Sounds of the 70s - great stuff. :)

Yes I generally listen to that - or tend to doze off while doing so having had a couple of pints at lunchtime.
